The Joseph N. Goff House board of directors would like to send a big THANK YOU out to everyone who came out to the 17th annual Goff House Gazebo Concert series this year! We had a great line up of band and wonderfully supportive crowds, even last night in the church hall because of rain! Joseph N. Goff House Concert Series Continues July 16 with We Got Rhythm

The Joseph N. Goff House Concert Series, held at the Center School Pavilion in the East Hampton Village Center on Thursdays, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., continues July 16 with We Got Rhythm a classic song and dance in modern Vaudeville style with singing, tap dancing, guitar, boomba, trumpet, steel drum with Larry Ruhl and Ellen Lovino, a husband and wife song and dance team.
July 23 features the swaying reggae sounds of Moto, performing partying rhythms, soca sounds an uplifting ...fun musical experience. The band features vocalist Roger Lum You from Trinidad, Paul Bozzi, a highly versatile drummer and Dave LaPorte on bass.
July 30 features Seat of Our Pants, an acoustic Folk/Blues/Bluegrass/Country/Old-Timey/Rock trio based out of Marlborough. The group's song choices range from those with prominent vocal harmonies (The Civil Wars, Kasey Chambers, Gail Wade, The Wailin' Jennys, Allison Krauss, and Mad Agnes), to more familiar folk/rock artists (Simon and Garfunkle, Jonathan Edwards, Aztec Two Step, Dan Fogelberg, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor), to their own versions of up-tempo songs and original work.
Boy Scout Pack 8 will be on hand to sell snacks and drinks. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected for the East Hampton Food Bank. Listeners are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics while enjoying the concert, which is gratefully made possible through the generous contributions of local businesses, residents and loyal supporters.

Joseph N. Goff House Museum To Host Open House on Saturday, July 11

The Joseph N. Goff House Museum will be open to the public on Saturday, July11 from  to 3 p.m. during the Old Home Day festivities. Come visit our air conditions space and enjoy a glimpse into the past through the museum's current exhibit titled "Tourism, Summer Lodges and Camping in East Hampton." The exhibit, which features photos, drawings, memorabilia and memories of East Hampton's thriving summer vacation locations. Admission is free and the museum is handicapped accessible.

Joseph N. Goff House Gazebo Concert Series Continues Thursday With The Modern Riffs

The Joseph N. Goff House Concert Series, held at the Center School Pavilion in the East Hampton Village Center on Thursdays, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., continues July 2 with The Modern Riffs, a Connecticut-based group that showcases a unique, high-energy blend of experienced musicians and exceptionally talented young people. Performances are tailored to deliver the right combination of Jazz, Classic Rock, and Swing that bests suits each individual audience.

Joseph N. Goff House Concert Series Begins June 25

 

 

 

The Joseph N. Goff House Concert Series, held at the Center School Pavilion in the East Hampton Village Center on Thursdays, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., begins its 2015 season on June 25 with a performance by The Kerry Boys - Connecticut's Irish Balladeers, featuring Mark James and Pierce Campbell. Both strong vocalists and instrumentalists, with Mark on guitar and Pierce playing mandolin, guitar and banjo, the duo sings pristine harmonies rarely heard, backed up with powerful and expressive instrumentation. Their performances are truly a shared experience as they engage audiences of all ages in singing and clapping.

First Friday Fun at the Joseph N. Goff House Museum

Our wonderful East Hampton High School Interact Club and Goff House Volunteers play board games, help with spring crafts and face painting with visitors to the monthly First Friday in the Village event on May 1.

First Friday in the Village Continues May 1

The Joseph N. Goff House is pleased to present "First Fridays in the Village" on May 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be offered every first Friday of the month, during which participating Village Center businesses and organizations on and near Main Street will offer special exhibits, presentations or performances.
Planned activities on May 1 will include the Belltown Garden Club’s family gardening event at the Center School Gazebo starting at 5:30 p.m.; Open Studio at The Space, 62 Main St.; An exhibit of nature photos by 9-year-old Nathan Rees, Old Bank Flowers, Art & Marketplace, 66 Main St.; Open Jam/Open Mic and art exhibit by Connecticut artists titled “Color Me Blue” sponsored by Hearts, Hands and Homes Community Collaborative in Partnership with The Department of Children and Families, 6 p.m., Higher Grounds Coffee Shop, 70 Main St.; A Spring/Mother’s Day craft activity, board games and face painting with the East Hampton High School Interact Club, Joseph N. Goff House Museum, 2 Barton Hill Road; Wine tasting featuring selections provided by Worldwide Wines, Center Package Store, 93 Main St.,4-6 p.m.; A new art exhibit featuring local artists, Creations Framing & Gallery, 95 Main St.; Free guitar string inspection, Black Cat Music, 95 Main St.; First Friday Dinner Special for Two including 2 beef curry rolls, veggie fried rice and crispy shrimp with honey glazed walnuts for $25,Po’s Rice and Spice, 81 Main St.
