The Joseph N. Goff House are pleased to present "First Fridays in the Village" on March 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be offered every first Friday of the month, during which participating Village Center businesses and organizations on and near Main Street will offer special exhibits, presentations or performances.
Planned activities on March. 6 will include an exhibit featuring the work of photographer Michael Edward titled “Train of Thought and Other Intimate Journeys” at The Space, 64 Main St.; artwork by acrylic and oil painter Nina Ward, featuring trees and winter scenes at Old Bank Marketplace & Flowers, 66 Main St.; an Irish Dinner, Open Jam and Open Mic starting at 6 p.m. at Higher Grounds Coffee Shop, 70 Main St. - 860-467-6634 for reservations; A family-friendly program at the Joseph N. Goff House Museum, 2 Barton Hill Road; Dance Exercise Class featuring the music of Pitbull hosted by Boundless Movement LLC, 7:15 p.m. in the Joseph N. Goff House Great Hall, 2 Barton Hill Road - Cost is $10, 860-940-9598 to register; Crafty Cakes & Cupcakes by Cindy, 82 Main St., to offer specials on cupcake sundaes and warm waffle sundaes; Paws-N-Heel Dog Training, 87 Main St., to feature its 4-H “Bad to the Bone” Dog Club teaching tricks to their dogs and information on services provided; Center Package Store, 93 Main St., to host a beer tasting with The Thomas Hooker Brewing Co. and music provided by Kevin Day starting at 5 p.m.; Po’s Rice & Spice, 97 Main St., to offer a First Friday Dinner For Two Special - two egg rolls, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Mei Fun Noodles for $25.
